Maria Simina

1980 was born in Saint-Petersburg.

Photographer, an artist and a designer.

She is a member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia.

Maria graduated from the Galperin faculty of photojournalism in St. Petersburg, but chose the portrait genre. She has been working in the portrait genre for more than 10 years. She is also a teacher in several photo schools in St. Petersburg. More than 200 people completed her own author’s course “Art portrait”.

The main theme of her work is a personality as it is, ambiguous, complex, deep but always with an inner light and a piece of divine beauty. Through her characters, she explores her own inner world.

Awards:

Winner of the competition for young artists and photographers “Black and White Portraits”. Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

The author’s works are in collections:

– State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg);

– The State Museum of Urban Sculpture (St. Petersburg);

– The Oranienbaum Museum (Oranienbaum);

– Private collections (Russia, France, USA, Estonia, Spain).
